About Caroline Louise Art

Caroline Louise Smyth, BA(hons), CIBTAC, Artist

After years of school education, university education, post university education, running my own business, my first job for a blue chip company, several other jobs for great companies, and those that were not so great, I finally decided to jump off the merry-go-round of living to work, and go it alone so I could work to live instead.

I left an established career in the real estate business and gave myself a year to turn a life-long passion for painting, and a hobby for writing, into something that could provide me with daily fulfillment, and the more dull, but necessary, ability to pay the mortgage!

I completed my first novel within five months, while developing new painting techniques for my first ‘official’ art collection, and then began painting in earnest to reach my goal of being ready for my first private exhibition in March ’07. The exhibition served as ‘a toe in the water’ exercise for me, with only 25 pieces exhibited to a very small group of people. However the feedback was positive and with that, I went back to work, painting seven days a week to reach goal two: A  larger solo exhibition, featuring two entire collections and the launch of the Caroline Louise Art website by October ’07.

My Exhibition on the 4^th of October ’07 was more of a success than I could have dreamt. For one night only, invited guests, colleagues, clients, and potential clients, had the opportunity to view and purchase my work before the remainder went on sale the following day on my website, which was launched, on target, on the 5^th of October last.

Since October, I have been working on three new ranges: ‘Gold Rush’ and ‘The Dream Factory’ for The Fine Art Collection and ‘Rafael’ for The Interior Design Collection and it is with great excitement that I bring this new work to my first public solo exhibition, being held over one weekend at The Stillorgan Park Hotel in South County Dublin.

The world is the oyster of Caroline Louise Art, with endless possibilities on the horizon.
